friday night we went to the monthly friday night art walk downtown. the reason i bring this up is that there's a group in portland called the portland slow riders (http://twitter.com/PTLDSlowRiders) who just cruise around town slowly with their bikes all tricked out and playing loud 80s music. so eli had the idea that he wanted to do a 'slow ride' bike parade around our neighborhood. yesterday afternoon, we organized the rabbit run 'slow ride' for adults and kids, led of course by eli! and then we celebrated with a streetside impromto bbq. see first video...
and then today we had the neighborhood easter egg hunt which was fun. notice the jew with the halloween jack-o-lantern in use for efficient egg collection...
later today, eli learned to ride his bike WITHOUT TRAINING WHEELS!! he did it amazingly well, without a scratch to show for it! see next video...
and we celebrated with ice cream afterward. if only every weekend could be like this... hope all's well with everyone and you enjoyed the weekend too!
